About TGBrowse
Hi, I'm Alex. I'm the person behind this site. Here's the story, the why, and what I'm trying to do with it.
How this started
I've been on Telegram heavily since around 2019. Like a lot of people, I joined for one or two channels and ended up with way more than I could keep track of. Crypto stuff. Sports. A few dating chats. Some niche tech feeds. The usual.
The problem hit me one weekend in early 2025. A friend asked me which sports betting channel I'd recommend. I'd joined probably twenty of them over the years. I had no idea which ones were still active, which ones had quietly turned into spam machines, and which ones were actually worth his time. I scrolled through Telegram for a good thirty minutes trying to remember. I gave up.
That's the moment I started looking for a directory. Something where I could just type "sports betting telegram" and get a list of public channels, sorted by category, with some basic info and reviews. I figured a site like that had to exist.
It didn't. Not really. There are a few directories out there. Most of them are abandoned, full of dead links, or they're just thinly disguised affiliate funnels for paid promotions. None of them had what I wanted: a clean list of public channels organized by topic, with member counts, trust scores, and honest reviews you can actually use to decide before joining.
So I built it
I'm not a Silicon Valley founder. I'm a guy who spent a few months learning PHP, MySQL, and a bunch of SEO theory in the evenings after work. The first version of TGBrowse was rough. Just a list of channels in a table. No reviews. No categories. Loaded on a $5 a month VPS.
I kept iterating. Added categories. Added a search. Added a way for visitors to leave reviews and vote on channels they liked. Added pages for each channel with stats and member counts. Right now there are 1,385 channels indexed across seven main categories, and the number keeps growing.
What I'm trying to do
Honestly, my goal isn't to build a billion dollar company. I want TGBrowse to be the thing I wished existed when I started looking. A directory you can trust. Channels reviewed by real people, not bots. A site that loads in under a second on a slow phone. No popups. No newsletter prompts the second you land. No "subscribe to read more."
I'm also trying to be useful for people in regions where Telegram is huge but underserved by Western tech. A lot of the traffic on this site comes from India, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Turkey. Telegram matters way more in these places than most Western SEO folks realize. I try to keep that in mind every time I think about what to build next.
What you should know before using the site
TGBrowse lists public Telegram channels. We don't run them, we don't moderate them, and we don't endorse them. A channel being on this site doesn't mean it's safe, accurate, or worth your money. Some of the channels we index sell trading signals, casino promotions, dating services, supplements. Use your own judgment. If something feels off when you join a channel, leave. If a channel asks you to pay upfront for something that sounds too good, it's almost certainly a scam.
We do our best to flag obvious garbage and keep the directory clean, but we can't catch everything. Reviews and trust scores are a guide. They aren't a guarantee.
How TGBrowse stays online
Right now the site is funded out of my own pocket. The server costs maybe $20 a month. The domain is cheap. Eventually I'll probably take on featured listings (channels paying to appear higher in their category) and maybe a few discreet sponsorships, but I want to keep the core experience clean and free for everyone. No paywall, no required signup, no ads cluttering the layout.
If you want to support the project, the most useful thing you can do is suggest channels you actually use and would recommend to a friend. Submit a channel here. Or follow us on X and share the site with anyone who'd find it useful.
